Baz is the founder and Principal DJ of BeatsAhead DJ Hire.

He has built a reputation as a solid DJ who loves and knows music and knows how to deliver unforgettable party sets. An established bar and club DJ he held many London residencies. Most notably in Raffles, on the fabulous Kings Road, Chelsea.

His various residencies lead him to work with some household names including; Groove Armada, Mike ‘Ruffcut’ Lloyd and Ashley Beedle to name drop a few!

He is now in demand at weddings & corporate events, not only for his DJ style but also his MC presentation skills.

Approachable and always respectful of what it takes to host a good party, he will work tirelessly to ensure your event is remarked upon for all the right reasons.

Book DJ Baz We used DJ Baz for our wedding in Poole. His equipment setup worked perfectly in the room and the sound quality was absolutely on point. He was also very easy to work with and played so many great songs both from our playlist (which we filled in using their playlist site) and from guest requests. The dance floor was never empty and actually getting the guests to leave was the hardest part of the night as they kept demanding 'one more song'. Michelle was also great with helping us organise everything before our wedding from the initial booking process to managing timings for the day. The communication and overall service we received was fantastic. Definitely highly recommend 🙂

DJ Baz exceeded our expectations! He was interacting with the children, right from the start, and not just by using the mic, but actually getting in amongst them. The children (and parents) all had a fantastic time, and we would highly recommend.

Baz was brilliant! We picked Beats Ahead because of the fact that you can submit a list of “must play” songs and “do not play” songs as although we wanted a variety of music we wanted to have some control of the songs and be able to give our DJ a steer in the style/mood of songs we wanted. And we are so glad we did as the music was perfect!
Baz played all of the songs that we asked him to and the best thing was that he read the room so well, everyone was up on the dance floor! He accommodated special requests and played a variety of songs which seemed to suit the mood (avoiding any of the tragic wedding classics!). Everyone mentioned how good he was compared to the usual wedding DJs. Would recommend 100%.

He can confidently play anything and everything from White Tie Events to School Discos, and Sweet 16th’s to 90ths.

He’s doesn’t create a playlist in advance preferring to select tracks when he has the crowd to respond to, but is always happy for you to provide a list of the songs you want (and don’t want).
